At Perth the twenty third day of May Eighteen hundred and fifty four. In presence of David Mure Esquire Advocate Commissary of the Commissariat of the County of Perth Compeared John Ironside Writer in Crieff as Procurator for the Executors after named and designed and gave in the Inventory of the Personal Estate of Edward Brough China Merchant in Crieff (duly stamped with Eight pounds Sterling of duty) and oath thereon after written desiring the same to be recorded in the Commissary Court Books of Perthshire conform to Act of Parliament which desire the said Commissary finding reasonable he ordained the same to be done accordingly the tenor whereof follows, Vizt: Inventory of the Means and Estate which belonged to Edward Brough China Merchant in Crieff who died there upon the Eleventh February Eighteen hundred and fifty-four given up by James Brough Mason in Crieff, Brother German and Executor dative qua nearest in Kin to the deceased conform to Decree Dative of the Commissary of the Commissariat of Perth dated the [blank space] day of [blank space] Eighteen hundred and fifty four.

SECOND, The Shoop goods which belonged to the deceased

At Crieff the Twentieth day of May Eighteen hundred and fifty four years In presence of John Ironside Writer in Crieff Commissioner appointed by the foregoing deliverance of the Commissary Depute of Perthshire dated the nineteenth day of May current Compeared James Brough Mason in Crieff who being solemnly sworn and examined Depones That Edward Brough China Merchant in Crieff died intestate on the eleventh day of February Eighteen hundred and fifty four–That the Deponent has entered upon the possession and management of his personal or moveable Estate as Executor qua nearest in Kin decerned to him – That the Deponent knows of no Settlement or other writing left by the deceased relative to the disposal of his personal Estate or Effects or any part of them, That the foregoing Inventory each page of which is singed by the Deponent and the said Commissioner as relative hereto, is a full and complete Inventory of the personal Estate and Effects of the said deceased wherever situated and belonging or due beneficially to the deceased at the time of his death in so far as the same has come to the Deponents knowledge with the exception of the Book Debts due to the deceased the amount of which the Deponent has no means of knowing at present but of which an Eik to the Inventory will afterwards be made and that the value of the said Estate situated in Scotland is of the value of Two hundred and Seventy nine pounds nine shillings and two pence and under the value of Three hundred pounds All which is true as the Deponent shall answer to God – Nine words deleted
